Day 39: Another good day!

Another good one! Lily received her last round of betamethasone today, and it really seems to be helping her lungs. Docs weaned her down to 28% oxygen today, only 7% above room air - that's the lowest it's ever been on the nasal ventilator! She's tolerating her feeds well, and gained another 20 grams - so, 2lbs 12oz, or exactly one pound heavier than when she was born. She's packing on the weight!

Also, they found a tooth in Lily's mouth today! A very small, undeveloped tooth is poking through her lower gum. A dentist is going to stop by and look at it - if the tooth is loose, they may have to pull it. It's nothing like an adult extraction... there are no roots to preemie teeth. If a tooth is loose, it may wiggle loose and get lodged in her windpipe, cause abdominal issues, etc.

So - a pretty boring day... but, boring is good!!
